Quad II

One of my interests is vacuum tube audio.  I have some old Quad stuff that I intend to finish.  Here's a pic of a pair of Quad II amps I restored for a friend.  Note, that these are not woodgrained, they are chrome plated.  Before any purists get excited, one of these amps had fried compeltely, and a previous tech had drilled holes in the sides and butchred them up, they were not 'pristine'.  I'm very pleased with the results, and I currently have five of these things to get into shape.  Sadly that friend passed away in 2006.  His family was kind enough to give me his "hifi", including the amps below.
